Kids clothing store to open near theater

Another vacancy is about to be filled near Tinseltown movie theaters in the Medford Center.

Sharp Dressed Kids, a clothing store featuring brands such as Calvin Klein, Guess and Flapdoodle, will open later this month across from the movie theater.

The business will be owned by Randy and Nichole Arnold of Medford. Nichole Arnold said the store will feature clothes for infants and children up to size 8.

Howard Wong of Center Trust, the California company that owns the center, said he expects to make two more announcements of local tenants soon.

One of the most obvious niches -- a dessert and/or coffee shop for movie goers -- remains unfilled. But Bill Leever, the real estate agent handling local tenants, said he is in final negotiations with an area couple who want to open an ice cream shop in the center.

Gap sets June 11 as opening date

The opening of The Gap at the Rogue Valley Mall has been set for June 11.
