Truitt didn't pick up a win until the final two races of the day, finishing in second in the first, second and ninth races. In the 10th race, Truitt rode thoroughbred Comanche Drive to the finish in the 6 1/2-furlong claiming race, while Classic Bargin captured a 6 1/2-furlong thoroughbred claiming race to end the day.

Keith Rough picked up back-to-back wins in the seventh and eighth races with quarter horse Easy Verna in the 350-yard seventh-race and Dat Cat in the mixed breed, 600-yard eighth race.

Rowdy Luark also rode a pair of winners. In the fourth race, Luark led urged Scunnered to a first-place finish in the 4 1/2-furlong maiden claim, while thoroughbred King Of The Cards won the 4 1/2-furlong claim ninth race.

Darlene Braden, Tad Skaggs, Twyla Beckner, Edgar Montehermoso and Ralph Garcia all picked up single wins.
