
| Marie Louise Lockwood-Montgomery
The memorial service for Marie Louise Lockwood-Montgomery will be at 11 a.m. Saturday
at Talent City Hall, 204 E. Main St. A potluck for family and friends will follow.
Mrs. Lockwood-Montgomery, 75, of Myrtle Creek, formerly of Talent, died Dec. 31, 1998,
at a Myrtle Creek care facility after a lengthy illness.

Marion M. Peterson
The funeral for Marion M. Peterson will be at 9 a.m.
Wednesday at Central Valley Chapel, 800 S. Front St., Central Point. Graveside services
will follow in Rock Point Cemetery in Gold Hill.
Mrs. Peterson, 76, of Gold Hill, died Saturday (May 29, 1999) at Providence Medford
Medical Center.
She was born Marion Murphy on Dec. 8, 1922 in Minot, N.D. On Feb. 15, 1957, in The
Dalles, she married Darrell Peterson, who survives.
Mrs. Peterson had lived in the Rogue Valley since 1976, when she moved from Trinity
Center, Calif. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, John Durham and Rodney Durham,
both of Central Point; three daughters, Bonnie Dennington of Central Point, Patricia
Wilson of Grape View, Wash., and Vicki Hamilton of The Dalles; a brother, Kenneth Murphy
of Moses Lake, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Burt Murphy, and a sister, Vivian Morris.

Christie Marsh-Sanders
The memorial service for Christie Ames Marsh-Sanders
will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Northridge Center, 3737 S. Pacific Highway, Medford. Pastor
Henry Peck of the Coleman Creek Bible Fellowship will officiate.
Mrs. Marsh-Sanders, 88, of Medford, died Wednesday (May 26, 1999) at Rogue Valley
Medical Center in Medford.
She was born Christie Ames on Dec. 20, 1910, in Osterville, Mass. She moved to the
Rogue Valley from Los Angeles 16 years ago.
On Feb. 27, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she married Wolcot Marsh, who preceded her in
death. On Sept. 6, 1997, in Medford, she married Venwal Sanders, who survives.
Mrs. Marsh-Sanders was a secretary and bookkeeper for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Allen Marsh of Denver, Colo.;
three daughters, Sandra Mercer of Talent, Marilyn Yocum of Atascadero, Calif., and Meryl
Gunderson of Ashland; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Jack R. McKay
A memorial gathering for Jack R. McKay will be at 2
p.m. Saturday, June 13, in the home of his grandson, 997 Beeson Lane, Talent.
Mr. McKay, 70, of Phoenix, died Sunday (May 30, 1999) at his home.

He was born on Sept. 7, 1928, in Coquille. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Roseburg
in 1963.
On June 1, 1966, in Reno, Nev., he married Celia Unruh, who survives.
Mr. McKay owned and operated Jack McKay's Logging. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Allen, Winston; two daughters, Donnis
Wilder of Winston and Lenita Franklin of Woodbridge, Va.; two stepdaughters, Charlotte
Joseph of Phoenix and Valerie Moore of Eureka, Calif.; two sisters, Ellen Davenport of
Cashmere, Wash., and Lois Britton of Oroville, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 19
great-grandchildren.

Carroll B. Johnson
The memorial service for Carroll Barclay Johnson

Mr. Johnson, 83, of Central Point, died Saturday (May 29, 1999) at Providence Medford
Medical Center.

He was born on Aug. 16, 1915, in Hedrick, Iowa. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1946.
On March 1, 1950, in Reno, Nev., Mr. Johnson married Jessie Mae James Hansen, who
survives.
He worked for Medford Corp. for 25 years before retiring in 1977. He also was a member
of the Medford Friends Church. He enjoyed fishing, rock collecting and electronics.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, David Hansen of Phoenix and
Richard Johnson of Milwaukie; four daughters, Kay Heath of Klamath Falls, Rose Marie
McCann of Central Point, Sonja Roberts of Medford and Janet McClurg of Lynnwood; a sister,
Wilma Lawson of Rogers, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and six
great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
