home from hospital Medford Mayor Jerry Lausmann returned home Monday after a fractured bone caused an extended stay in the hospital. "I managed to hobble home," he said with a laugh. "It is nice to be back." Lausmann suffered the fracture in his pelvic area April 11, when he slipped on the grass after the Pear Blossom Parade. He was treated at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Lausmann, 68, is completing his 12th and final year as mayor. He was hospitalized after a bout with pneumonia two years ago, and he underwent surgery for removal of a malignant brain tumor in 1991. |
