Police investigate man's death
WIMER The Jackson County Major Crimes Team and Oregon State Police are investigating the death of a white male adult found Monday in a remote area outside Wimer. The case is being investigated as a homicide, said Chief Deputy Medical Examiner Spencer Smith: "Any death which the exact manner and cause is not known, is always investigated as a homicide whether it is or not." Few details were released Monday. According to the Jackson County sheriff's log, OSP troopers called Smith to the scene at Sykes Creek and East Evans Creek roads at 12:32 p.m. to assist with a death. The OSP reported that an autopsy would be performed today. |
