The Crater High football team capped one of its most successful seasons in the program's history with nine Class 5A all-state selections.
The Comets, who won nine games for the first time in school history and made the state playoffs for the first time since 1985, were led by senior Charlie Reina, who made the second team as a defensive back and received honorable mention as a running back.
Seniors Nick Ryan (defensive line) and Kyle Petersen (offensive guard) also made the second team, with fellow seniors Tyler Davis (wide receiver), Anthony Timmerman (tackle) and Josh Surgeon (place kicker) all gaining honorable mention.
On the defensive side for Crater, seniors Derek Hogenson (linebacker), Alex Parke (lineman) and Jesse Warren (defensive back) all made the honorable mention list.
Ashland senior center Nick Fitzpatrick and senior defensive lineman Bronz Kaae received honorable mention.
