Felony arrests

  • Assault — Aurie Mereno, 24, of the 1000 block of Niantic Street, Medford. Medford police Wednesday arrested Mereno on four counts of fourth-degree assault, two counts of harassment, endangering the welfare of a minor and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $31,000 bail.
  • Burglary, theft, criminal mischief — Steven Patrick Childers, 36, of Crescent City, Calif. Central Point police Wednesday arrested Childers on charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree trespassing, first-degree theft and first-degree criminal mistreatment. He was lodged in jail without bail.
  • Assault — Justin Ashley Senter, 26, of the 400 block of Maple Street, Central Point. A Jackson County sheriff's deputy Wednesday arrested Senter on three counts of fourth-degree assault, strangulation and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $21,000 bail.
  • Theft — Adam Dwaine Vickers, 33, of the 400 block of North Central Valley Drive, Central Point. A sheriff's deputy Wednesday arrested Vickers on charges of second-degree trespassing, first-degree theft and first-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $12,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Alejandro Banuelo-Pena, 19, of Klamath Falls. Drug Enforcement Administration agents Wednesday arrested Banuelo-Pena on a charge of delivery of methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail without bail.

Crime reports

  • Theft — King Street and West Eleventh Street, Medford. Medford police Wednesday took a report in which a speaker box and 38 compact discs were stolen. The value of the items was $900.
  • Theft — 1800 block of Grandview Avenue, Medford. Medford police Wednesday took a report in which a horse saddle and bridle were stolen. The value of the items was $900.
  • Theft — 1600 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police Wednesday took a report in which 100 bras were stolen from Victoria's Secret. The value of the items was $4,400.
