Britt gears up for 2006
Britt Festivals annual dinner, dance and auction, the Britt Bash, is slated for 5 p.m.Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Red Lion Hotel, 200 N. Riverside, Medford.
This years Bash includes dinner, 38 live auction packages and more than 100 silent auction items.
Auction items include a week on a catamaran in the Caribbean, an electric guitar signed by Britt headliners, a Pebble Beach golf package, local dinner parties and an array of Britt tickets.

Tickets for the Britt Festivals 2006 classical season have been on sale to members since Dec. 1. They come with an "early bird" discount of $2 per ticket until Feb. 15.
Conductor Peter Bay and the orchestra will open the season Friday, Aug. 4, with guest Jon Nakamatsu.
The next night, world-renowned violinist Sarah Chang will visit. She was enrolled at Juilliard at 4 and performed with the New York Philharmonic at 8. Another young, international violinist,
Hilary Hahn, will visit the following weekend.
On Aug. 12 the Britt hillside will fill with singing, as four vocalists join the orchestra for a night of opera hits. Photo-choreographer James Westwater will bring his panoramic photography to
the hill Aug. 18. He will choreograph his images on three giant monitors overhead as the orchestra performs.
Britts annual family concert will feature the Magic Circle Mime Company on Aug. 19, the 250th birthday anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. "Rhapsody in Red, White and Blue," a
tribute to George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein, will wrap up the season.
