Rental vacancy ratedown from October
Southern Oregon Rental Owners Association members reported a 3.35 percent vacancy rate in November. The organization, covering Jackson and Josephine counties, noted 168 vacancies out of 4,011 reporting
units.
The association recorded a 4.26 percent vacancy rate in October and the rate for November 2004 was 4.9 percent.
SOROA members will meet at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at JJ Norths Grand Buffet, 1016 N. Riverside Ave., Medford. Consultant Mark Dennett will present an economic outlook for the Rogue Valley for 2006.
Salaries to increase for PremierWest execs
PremierWest Bancorps board has awarded salary increases to its executive officers, effective Jan. 1.
According to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, John Anhorn, president and chief executive officer, will receive a base salary of $275,000; Richard Hieb, senior executive vice
president and chief operating officer, $190,000; Tom Anderson, executive vice president and chief financial officer, $150,000; and Jim Earley, executive vice president and chief credit
officer, $140,000.
Supplemental executive retirement agreements for Anhorn and Hieb were amended to increase the benefit term from a period of 15 years to a lifetime benefit.
