Anna VanDeWeghe
Anna Pauline VanDeWeghe, 94, of Central Point, died Sunday (Nov 16, 2003) at Alderwood Assisted Living. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Conger-Morris Central Point. Interment will be at the Hornbrook Cemetery, Hornbrook, CA. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn will officiate.

Anna was born Mar 11, 1909 in Medford, OR., the daughter of Frederick and Anna (Heckert) Wolff. She married Ed Stickney and they later divorced. She then married Victor VanDeWeghe on May 23, 1941 in Reno, NV. Victor died in July 1965. She lived most of her life in the Medford area, but did live in Northern Ca. towns of Hilt and Burney for a time.

Anna was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and sewing.

She is survived by; 2 sons; Leland and Marilyn Stickney, of Medford, Victor and Toni VanDeWeghe, of Central Point, a daughter; Yvonne and Dean Boring, of Redding, CA., a brother; Oris and Theola Wolff, of Myrtle Point,Ore. 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and 2 sons Funeral arrangements by: Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel.

Kenneth Ray Beebe
Kenneth Beebe, 82, of Central Point, died Friday (Nov. 14, 2003) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

A memorial mass will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point. Father Jim Clifford will officiate. Inurnment will be at the Central Point Masonic Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church.

Leonard R. Pekarek
The memorial service for Leonard Randolph Pekarek will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hillcrest Chapel. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.

His companion, Judy, is hosting a reception at the Eagle's Lodge following the memorial service.

Mr. Pekarek, 67, of Phoenix, died Friday (Nov. 14, 2003) at his home.

He was born June 24, 1936 in Garibaldi, OR to Frank George and Margaret Eleanor (Payne) Pekarek.

He was a diesel mechanic and lived in the Rogue Valley for over 50 years.

Survivors include three children, Teresa McAlexander of Phoenix, Charlene Farmer and Leonard "Randy" Pekarek, both of Talent; companion, Judy Ridner of Phoenix; a brother, Melford Pekarek of Newberg; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Rose in 1996 and two brothers, Roland and Frankie Pekarek.

Arrangements: Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, Medford.

Olva Christine Fahlen
Olva Christine Fahlen, 95, died November 10, 2003 in Kennewick, WA. She was born April 2, 1908 to John Edward and Dora Lee Hesselgrave in Central Point, OR. She graduated from Central Point High School. After she completed business college she worked in the business office of Medford Corporation for 46 years.

In 1938, she married John Olaf Fahlen. They enjoyed fishing, square dancing, traveling and working in their yard together until his death in 1967. After her retirement, Olva was very active in the Roxy Ann Grange in Medford, OR. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing, and was an excellent mathematician.

In 1989, Olva relocated to Kennewick, WA to be near her family. She was a devoted and generous aunt to all of her nieces and nephews, but was especially close and helpful with her sister's special needs child. In Kennewick she was treasurer of the Fifty Plus Club for several years. Olva is survived by her sister, Janice Ghelardi; nieces, Sandra Baker and husband, Jay, Cheryl Miller and husband, Craig, and Sharon Gaddis; nephews, Brad Ghelardi and David Baxter and wife, Gail; great nieces, Melissa Wrinkle, Amy O'Brien, and Emily Allen and husband, Chris; great nephews, Jeff and wife Janet, Justin Wrinkle and Patrick Miller; and four great-great nieces and nephews. All of her family will miss her greatly. Olva was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dora Hesselgrave, her husband, Olaf Fahlen, and her sister Leola Reed.

A memorial service will be held November 22 at 10 a.m. at Perl Funeral Home-Siskiyou Memorial Park, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, OR.

Memorial contributions may be made in Olva's name to Spruce Villa, Inc., 1880 Fisher Rd NE, Salem, Oregon.

Robert August Johnson
The memorial service for Robert August Johnson will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2003 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Alan Jackson will officiate.

Mr. Johnson, 82, of Medford, died Monday (Nov. 17, 2003) at his home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rogue Valley Manor Foundation, 1200 Mira Mar Ave., Medford, OR 97504, or to a favorite local charity.

Mr. Johnson was born on Jan. 6, 1921 in Seattle, WA. He lived in Medford since 1946.

He was a 1943 graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle.

Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Navy as a Lt. Jr. Grade from 1943 to 1946.

He worked as a sales engineer for the General Electric Co.

Mr. Johnson was a member of the University Club, Medford Rotary Club and the Rogue Valley Country Club.

He enjoyed music, piano, and tennis.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Windolf Johnson in 2001.

Dolores Ilenne Hawley-DeCarlo, 85, of Central Point, died Monday (Nov. 17, 2003) at Hearthstone. Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Harold E. Trowbridge, 76, of Grants Pass, died Friday (Nov. 14, 2003) at his home. Arrangements: Lundberg's L.B. Hall Funeral Home.

Juanita O. Dump
Juanita O. Dump, 77, of Jacksonville, died Sunday (Nov. 16, 2003) at her residence. Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary.

Louis C. Tracy, Jr.
Louis C. Tracy, Jr., 81, of Grants Pass, died Friday (Nov. 14, 2003) at his home. Arrangements: Lundberg's L.B. Hall Funeral Home.

William C. Messer
William C. Messer, 73, of Medford, died on Monday (Nov. 17, 2003) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Arrangements will be handled by Perl Funeral Home.
