Felony arrests Drugs - Jerald Larnell Clark, 19, of Oakland, Calif. Medford police on Monday arrested Clark on a charge of delivery of cocaine. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held without bail at the request of federal authorities. Drugs - Robin West, 18, of Oakland, Calif. Medford police on Monday arrested West on charges of possession and delivery of cocaine. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bail. Injury accidents Homeowner injured - A 41-year-old Talent man suffered a serious eye injury when he got a screwdriver stuck in his eye while working on his Front Street house, firefighters said. The man, whose name was not released, underwent surgery Monday evening at Ashland Community Hospital to repair damage to his right eye, according to Jackson County Fire District No. 5. The accident occurred about 3 p.m. while the man was repairing windows at his home. Miscellaneous Jail releases - A total of 90 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its court-ordered cap of 190 inmates. Of those, 18 were released prior to their scheduled court appearances, five were granted early release from a sentence and 67 were released for miscellaneous reasons. |
