Since You Asked Southern Oregon celebs, part 2 Several readers responded to our question and answer Oct. 29 about celebrities who live in Southern Oregon, or used to. They added a few more names to the list. Cheryl O. mentioned "the fabulous Catherine Coulson, formerly 'The Log Lady' from 'Twin Peaks' and seasoned Oregon Shakespeare veteran actor who still lives here." John S. spoke of Millie Perkins, star of "The Diary of Anne Frank." She lived in the area for several years in the 1970s. And Cedric and Ceci recalled that Harry Anderson lived and worked as a magician in Ashland in the 1960s. Anderson, later star of TV's "Night Court," returned to introduce Mel Torme at the Britt Festivals in Jacksonville during the 1980s. And recent news stories about Valerie Harper running for president of the Screen Actors Guild served to remind us that she lived in Ashland in the 1950s and has periodically returned to visit relatives. The list goes on.
