Walker continues to dominate WHITE CITY - Apparently, there's no stopping Jim Walker Jr. at the Southern Oregon Speedway. The points leader in the Les Schwab Pro Stocks continued his dominant season on Saturday night, winning yet another feature race. The victory was the eighth feature of the season for the veteran driver. While Walker again led the way in the Pro Stocks, a new name took honors in the Littrell Auto Parts Dirt Modified. Yreka driver Roger Lorenzini Jr. topped the field in the main event, finishing ahead of another newcomer, Skipper Klimchek. Jim Hill won a second straight feature in the Bleachers Sports Bar Mini Stocks while Lindsay Bryant took the checkered in the CMI Super Trucks. The feature event in the 360 Sprints was still going on at press time. Racing continues this weekend at the Speedway as the West Coast National Dwarf Car meet takes place. Practice is set for Thursday night with free admission at the Speedway. Qualifying will take place Friday and the finals are set for Saturday. |
