The funeral for Ruth Anne Fernandez will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at
Crossroads Christian Church in Vacaville, Calif. Pastor Jon Corson of
Applegate Christian Fellowship will officiate.
Miss Fernandez, 16, of Jacksonville, died Thursday (March 23, 2000) in an
auto accident.

She was born Dec. 13, 1983, in Vallejo, Calif. She moved with her family
to Jacksonville two years ago.
She was a sophomore at South Medford High School and a member of
Applegate Christian Fellowship, where she was active in the youth ministry.
She was family-oriented, and her cousins were her best friends.
She enjoyed writing poetry, painting in oils, drawing in charcoal and
making photographs.
Survivors include her parents, Matthew and Deneen Fernandez; a sister,
Lisa Courtney, Vacaville; two brothers, Paul Fernandez, Eugene, Micah
Fernandez, Brentwood, Calif.; her grandparents, Annie Fernandez, Fairview,
Calif., and Melvin and Jeaneen Dean,
